  2. Protected Area Boundary Marking
Protected areas in the PT GRUTI area consist of: Protected Forest Buffer Zone, Nature Reserve Forest, River Boundary, Coastal Boundary, KPPN and KPSL. The realization of the installation of protected area boundaries in 2023 along 2.170 is in accordance with this year's target.
  3. Work Area Arrangement (PAK)
Realization of PAK activities until December 31, 2023 in the 2024 Logging Block Plan covering an area of 1,405 Ha with a block boundary length of 18,5 Km.

The realization of ITSP activities as of December 31, 2023 in the 2024  Logging Block Plan covering an area of 1,405 Ha with a total of 18 Plots.

    B. PRODUCTION

The realization of production in 2023 was 52,460.99 m3 from a target of 198,490.19 m3. The types of wood that were felled were commercial wood such as Keruing, Meranti, Kempas, Jelutung and other mixed forests. The failure to achieve the production target was mainly due to the factor of the relatively high rainfall conditions on Tanah Masa Island, South Nias Regency

    C. FOREST DEVELOPMENT

    1. Seedling Procurement
The realization of seedling procurement about RKT 2023 was 264,867 stems. The seedlings are of local superior species such as Keruing, Meranti, Damar Laut, and others. This year, there was no fruiting season for these superior tree species, so the seedlings were sourced from natural saplings or cuttings. Because the seedlings were sourced from cuttings, the growth percentage was suboptimal and needs to be improved.
    2. Enrichment
The enrichment was carried out in the former logging blocks of the 2022 Annual Work Plan (RKT). This year's enrichment covered an area of 119.30 Ha, with species such as Keruing, Meranti, and other local superior species
    3. Planting of Vacant Land/Non-Productive Areas
The plan for planting vacant land/non-productive areas in 2023 was 519 Ha located at the PT. GRUTI Unit Tele II Dairi Regency, but is currently still in the field preparation stage and has not yet been realized.
    4. Planting on Both Sides of the Wood Transportation Road
Planting on both sides of the road is carried out in areas that are open or have less regeneration. The realization of planting on both sides of the road this year was 36,42 Ha in accordance with the annual target.
    5. Plant Maintenance
Plant maintenance in 2023 was carried out along both sides of the road, covering an area of 20 ha with a total of 8,000 plants.
    6. Release of Managed Trees
The release of managed trees from competing plants, such as lianas, is necessary to ensure optimal tree growth. This year's realization of the Managed Tree Release activity covered an area of 2,425 Ha.
