The Annual Work Plan (RKT 2021) is determined by the company itself by "self-approval" because it has obtained PHPL Certification with a "Good" value with a Decree of the Director of PT. Gunung Raya Utama Timber Industries Number : SK.001/GRUTI-MDN/I/2021 dated 04 January 2021 and Revision Number : SK.002/GRUTI-MDN/V/2021 dated 03 May 2021.
The summary of the Management Plan (RKT 2021) is presented below:
A. PLANNING
1. IUPHHK Area Boundaries
IUPHHK-HA PT. GRUTI is bordered by: Natural Reserve Forest Boundary (HSA), Protection Forest, Production Forest, Other Use Areas (APL) and Guild Boundaries. The total boundary length of the area is 641,934 Km. In accordance with the Boundary Guidelines approved by BAPLAN the area of PT. GRUTI will be implemented Boundary Planning and Boundary Reconstruction. The plan for implementing the Boundary this year is 42.56 Km.
2. Installation of Protected Area Boundary Signs
Work Area Arrangement (PAK) is required for the demarcation of logging blocks. The plan for implementation this year covers 33.05 km.
4. Pre-Logging Inventory (ITSP)
ITSP is required to determine the timber potential at the area of a planned Logging Block. The plan for implementation this year covers 1,132 Ha.
B. PRODUCTION
1. Forest Area Clearing (PWH)
Opening of Forest Areas is required in the form of construction of a production timber transportation road from the Logging Block to the Timber Piling Place (TPK). This year's PWH plan consists of a 23,118 km main road and a 27,438 km branch road.
2. Harvesting
This year's harvesting or production of logs is targeted at 67,634.38 M3 from the RKT and PWH Logging Blocks of the Meranti Group and Mixed Jungle Group. The types of wood are Keruing, Meranti, Kempas, Medang and other types of commercial.
C. FOREST DEVELOPMENT
1.Procurement of Seeds
Procurement of seeds is required for: Planting/Enrichment of Logged Cuts, Planting Empty Land, Planting Left-Right Roads and Planting SILIN. The target for seed procurement in RKT 2021 is 582,932 stems.
2. Enrichment
The enrichment was carried out in the former RKT logging block. The enrichment target for this year is 209 hectares with a total of 83,709 seeds with local superior species such as Keruing, Meranti, Damar Laut, Jelutung and Kempas.
3. Planting of Vacant Land/Non-productive Area
In addition to the logged-over areas, it is planned that there will be planting in areas of vacant land/non-productive areas within the PT. GRUTI. The target for planting vacant land/non-productive areas this year is 371 ha.
4. Planting Left and Right Wood Transport Road
Planting on the left and right of the road is carried out in areas that are available or less forest rejuvenation. The realization of planting Left and Right Road this year is 21.20 hectares in accordance with the target.
5. Maintenance of Enrichment Plants
Maintenance of enrichment plants in the form of embroidery, cleaning or freeing of nuisance plants is carried out on trees resulting from planting/enrichment. The target for plant maintenance this year is 133 hectares.
6. Maintenance of Plant in Vacant Land Areas
Maintenance of plants in vacant land areas in the form of embroidery, cleaning or pendangiran is carried out on trees that have been planted in vacant land areas. The target for plant maintenance this year is 53 hectares.
7. Maintenance of Plants on the Left and Right of the Wooden Transport Road
Maintenance of plants on the left and right of the timber transport road in the form of embroidery, cleaning or sweeping is carried out on the planted trees on the left and right of the timber transport road. The target for plant maintenance this year is 20 hectares.
8. Liberation of Fostered Trees
Liberation of the built trees from nuisance plants such as lianas is necessary for maximum tree growth. The target for this year's assisted tree acquisition is 2,560 ha.
D. FOREST PROTECTION AND SECURITY
Forest protection and security activities include: Control of Forest and Land Fires, Prevention / Prevention of Illegal Logging / Theft, Cultivation, Protection of Flora and Fauna / Germplasm and Protection of Soil and Water Conservation.
E. TECHNICAL AND NON-TECHNICAL FORESTRY PERSONNEL
The use of technical personnel in forest management is absolutely necessary. There are currently, the technical staff at PT. GRUTI consists of: Five people from Forestry graduates, three people GANISPHPL-CANHUT, two people GANISPHPL KURPET, one people GANISPHPL BINHUT, one people GANISPHPL NENHUT, Eight people GANISPHPL PKB. The company continues to strive to improve the quality of human resources by always involving employees to participate in education and training according to company needs.
F. EQUIPMENT
The forest concession equipment used includes: Logging Truck 13 units, Tractor 18 units, Log Loader 6 units, Chainsaw 25 units, Motor Grader 3 units, Excavator 4 units, Dump Truck 5 units, Speed Boat 1 unit, Long Boat 1 unit, Jeep 6 Units and Dirt Bike 7 Units.
G. TIMBER UTILIZATION
Most of the timber production from PT. GRUTI's area is supplied to the group's industries, with the remainder sold inter-island, provincial, or freely traded.
H. RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
Litbang realization this year includes: Research on Enrichment Plant Growth, Growth of Living Stands (PUP) and Cultivation of local mainstay species
I. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT MANAGEMENT AND MONITORING
The realization of environmental impact management and monitoring this year is carried out in the following areas: River Borders, Protected Forest and Coastal Buffer Zones, Germplasm Conservation Areas, Wildlife Protection Areas, Permanent Sampling Areas, Seed Gardens Areas, Transport Roads, Base Camps/TPKs /TPn. In addition, management efforts are also to prevent and overcome soil erosion, prevent damage to vegetation, prevent damage to wildlife habitat as well as social, economic and cultural aspects.
J. SOCIAL MANAGEMENT
